Emily turns 2!!!

On July 23rd, Emily Grace turned 2! She had a fun-filled week of birthday celebrations. We took our family to Disneyland in California for a weekend adventure. Emily got to meet Mr. Toodles (Mickey Mouse). Of course, she got really shy when it was her turn to shake his hand and get his autograph. Emily is an go-getter. She loved riding the rides and she especially loved all the FOOD she got to eat at the Disneyland Park.

Emily got to celebrate her birthday with her Nana Lorrayne, Aunt Rhonda, Uncle Ron and cousins: Mitchell and Nathan in Las Vegas. We had a BBQ and then had special cupcakes from the Cupcakery. Emily got a Tinkerbelle hopscotch floor mat, clothes and a Little People's Castle.

Shawn and Angie celebrate 10 blessed years together

Shawn and I just celebrated our 10th Anniversary on July 23, 2009. We have been so blessed during these years. Our children are the best gift we could have ever received.

We spent our Anniversary with our children and Shawn's family at our house in Vegas. His Mom, Lorrayne, Brother, Ron and Ron's family; Rhonda, Mitchell and Nathan. Both Shawn and I have some sort of virus affecting our throats so our celebration was low key....until we brought out Emily's birthday cupcakes...Yes, it is true, Emily was born 2 years ago on Shawn and I's 8th Anniversary. So from July 23, 2007 and for the rest of our lives we will celebrate Emily's birthday more so than our anniversary.
